Caught Up In His Love

Chapter One

Tish

See, what fucked me up was the fact that niggas believed that once they made you fall in love with them, they could do whatever the hell they wanted to do. They cheated, lied, and did everything else under the sun because they thought you wouldn’t leave their sorry, no-good, two-timing ass! That’s why there were so many bitter bitches in the world… because niggas weren’t shit, including mine.

Lance was a no-good, trifling ass nigga. I knew that shit, yet I still stayed. Nothing he did should have surprised me, but at the same time, he never seized to amaze me.

I felt my soul burning watching him break my heart into a million pieces. I saw him walk around the mall with her, I watched them as they shopped on the strip in downtown Royal Oak, and now they were at my house. I couldn’t believe that he had the audacity to bring the broad to my home.

I sat in my car, parked in front of the neighbor’s house, a few doors down. My body stiffened with anger as I relaxed back into my seat, staring out at them. I felt as if someone was taking a double edged sword and shoving it right into my heart. I wanted to kill them. I wanted to personally chop Lance’s balls off and shove them in his mouth. Then, he wouldn’t be able to stick his dirty dick inside of another bitch! That was just how mad I was.

I felt fresh tears threatening to escape my eyes, but I held them back. I promised myself that I had shed the last tear over Lance weeks ago. The nigga never failed at hurting me. It was like he got his rocks off by doing so. He didn’t deserve any more of my tears though; my heart didn’t deserve to ache over his sorry ass.

This morning, he thought that I had to work. I woke up to his sweet kisses, and him telling me how much he loved me. He even ironed my clothes for me and had them laid out on the bed for when I got out of the shower.

I left the house with a smile, tricking myself into believing that he would finally get it together. I did love the bastard. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have invested so many years in a dead ass relationship.

I got twenty minutes into my drive before I remembered that I didn’t have to work. The firm was closed for updates. I happily made a U-turn, going back home to my man.

What I saw next was enough to make me puke; the familiar car pulling into my driveway, and the familiar face hopping into the car with my man before pulling off. Initially, my thoughts were to run their asses off the road when I first began to follow them. But, I just sat back and watched, torturing myself for three long hours, and now I was about to start World War III.

They disappeared into the house and it took everything in me not to hop out and do some crazy shit. I reached into my purse, grabbing my cell phone to dial my best friend’s phone number. She told me to call her if I needed her, and I desperately needed her to talk me out of not going to jail for murder today.

“Please tell me that you are not still following them around.” Raina chuckled as soon as she answered the phone.

My eyes shot to the house again before I responded. “Yes I am, and it’s not funny. Can you believe that they’re at my fucking house right now, doing only God knows what?” I spat, releasing a stressed breath of air, as I rolled my eyes to the sky.

“See, I been told you to leave that man alone. You’re hard headed.” Raina was still chuckling, like shit was funny. So, I opted to end the conversation with her. Then, I took a deep breath, hopping out of my car to confront both Lance and that bitch’s scandalous asses.

My steps were light as I quietly made it into the house, following the sound of voices to the living room. I stood in the distance and watched as Lance affectionately held her. Her head rested on his shoulder as if it belonged there, and Lance’s fingers slid up and down her back, comforting her.

Once again, I found myself blinking back tears. This man had put me through so much, and my dumb ass allowed him to. Love was a bad motherfucker. I tried not to let him hurt me, but he had my heart, so it cut.

“So, this is what goes on when I’m supposed to be at work, huh? Y’all some nasty, trifling, disgusting, motherfuckers!” I shot with my lips turned up. The mere sight of them caused me to cringe.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Tish Adams and my man seems to be cheating on me with my best friend. She was the same broad that my mother raised as my sister; the same broad that I would jump in front of a bullet for. So much for friendships, because with friends like her, who needed enemies?

“Shit! Tish, ba… baby, I thought you was at work.” Lance began to stammer over his words.

“I bet you did!” I chuckled, reaching into my purse and grabbing my toy, then I pointed it at the both of them.

“Ahhh,” Nyla yelped, in surprise. “ Tish, I’m so sor,” What was she crying for? She wasn’t crying when she was parading around town with my man!

“You’re sorry?” I grimaced, cutting her off. “Yea, you are a sorry ass corny bitch. You want to be me so bad that you had to come for my man? Both of y’all are just sick!” My face scrunched up in disgust. The whole situation was making me sick.
